Full course description
"Growing Reading Brains" is a course designed to equip educators with knowledge of foundational reading skills for grades K-3. This program aims to transform classrooms by providing effective strategies based on the science of reading, regardless of the curricula used. The course consists of five units covering topics:
- The Science of Reading
- The Phonological Processor
- The Orthographic Processor
- Phonics
- The Meaning and Context Processors
By participating in this program, educators can build their knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of the Science of Reading.
Access is for 8 months (244 days) to complete at your own pace within that timeframe. Time commitment can be broken down into the following 6.5 hours of video instruction plus 1-2 hours for assignments, quizzes, and assessments.
